Central Synagogue has begun a partnership with New Ground, a local social service agency supporting homeless and formerly homeless families and veterans.

Help to make this holiday a special time by donating $ to purchase holiday gift cards through the Central Synagogue gift card program. Your donation will be used to purchase gift cards for department stores and grocery stores. New Ground will distribute these cards to homeless and formerly homeless families and veterans.

Central Synagogue will receive a percentage of every gift card purchased, so you are helping your congregation as well!

You can easily donate to this program:

1. Write a check to the Rabbi’s discretionary fund and write Gift Cards in the memo.

2. When you purchase your own gift cards, add some additional $ to your check total. The additional $ will only be used as a donation to purchase gift cards for New Ground (for more information on buying gift cards, contact Renee Gruber, 516 764 7767 orreneelhg@hotmail.com. You can also pick up gift card order forms at the synagogue office, or download off the website at www.centralsy.org.

3. Visit the Holiday Gift Card table at the Chanuplex on December 13th. You can make a donation towards New Ground gift cards by cash or check right there and then.
