As a Reform congregation, we are mindful of our sacred connection to Jewish tradition and to our ever-evolving Jewish experiences. We are committed to the worship of God, bringing Torah into the lives of our temple family, and performing acts of compassion that touch the world--tikkun olam. We look to our members to enrich our Jewish life through their voluntary efforts and to continue the work of creation as God's partners.
Our synagogue provides Jewish educational opportunities for all age groups, from pre-schoolers to senior citizens by offering a varied and intellectually stimulating program of life-long learning. Our Shabbat, festival, and High Holy Day services connect us to God, our history, and one another. We put our religious values into practice in our community, state, nation, and in the world through our social action program and through our comprehensive "caring community" program. Our Sisterhood, Brotherhood, Parent-Teacher Council, and Youth Groups provide means for all congregants to participate in the life of the community and to help ensure its future. The synagogue serves as our community center, with its beautiful sanctuary, school building, meeting rooms, and library.
We are proud of Central Synagogue, which we have made "central" to the lives of our members. It is an enduring home of the Jewish spirit. We welcome those who would join us and be counted among us. See our Membership page for more information.
