Suzy Gelman is a Registered Yoga Instructor and a member of Yoga Alliance, the International Kundalini Yoga Association. She received her intensive yoga training at the Manhattan-based Kundalini Yoga East under the careful guidance of Sat Jivan Singh and Sat Jivan Kaur. Her approach maintains the integrity of Kundalini Yoga as taught by the Master of Kundalini Yoga, Yogi Bhajan. Suzy was an experienced yoga student when she took her first Kundalini class and was amazed at the instant mental, physical, and spiritual benefits achieved. Kundalini, the yoga of Awareness, quickly became her passion and remains so. Suzy continues to take on-going classes and workshops, which enhance both her yoga and her teaching skills.
Suzy's more than twenty years of experience as a certified clinical social worker has given her a deep understanding of people and the supportive and healing processes.
She resides happily in Rockville Centre with her husband, daughter and son, and a bevy of dogs and cats. She is delighted and honored to be teaching at TREE OF LIFE YOGATM at Central Synagogue of Nassau County.

Kundalini Yoga, also called the Yoga of Awareness, is a beautiful and ancient science that has the potential to heal and uplift one's life. It was brought to the West in 1968 by Yogi Bhajan, who taught that through the practice of Kundalini Yoga you gain inner vitality that compensates for the adverse effects of stress, enabling you to excel in life. Kundalini Yoga is more than just exercise; it is a technology aimed at enhancing your relationship with your spirit, that part of you that is eternal. It is universal and nondenominational. No matter what religious path a person follows, Kundalini Yoga helps you experience your personal beliefs in a deeper, more meaningful manner. Balancing body and mind enables you to experience the clarity and beauty of your soul.
